My biggest problem with multi-port chargers is power interruption on one device when a second is plugged in. I have a Hypercharge device with two type-C ports. I power a laptop through a type-c hub (with mouse/monitor/storage connected) but if I plug in my phone on port 2, the hub loses power, the devices disconnect, and the hub might need disconnecting/reconnecting before it works again.

I don't know how to tell which chargers have this problem so I'm kind of stuck and just use separate chargers.

I'm still bitter about dual port chargers. We had one for vacations, one less thing to pack! Until it died on a trip, then we were left with no charger and had to buy one there. Haha, lesson learned.

Yeah usb has some shortfalls, its not perfect, but at least strives to simplify the ports and cables confusion

The today USB Cable is terrible.
for example when you buy 100w PD cable it doesnt mean it will support USB 3.0 connection.
then if you buy USB 3.2 Cable it doesnt mean it will support 100w PD charger. so be carefull.
