Recent car memorabilia finds, and a very kind donation of printed ephemera and automobilia, make up today's video here on the Old Classic Car channel. As regulars will know, I'm a sucker for any items old and relating to classic cars and similar vehicles, with printed leaflets, brochures, tools, accessories and magazines being particular favourites.
I'll include links at the end of this one to related videos here on the channel, please let me know if you'd like me to do more videos about classic car memorabilia and accessories in future, thanks!
If you know of anyone else who might find these Old Classic Car videos of interest, please forward one of the above links to them.

Thanks to Stewart for donating a great selection of printed materials. I am a big fan of original vintage printed auto literature myself and always enjoy paging through brochures to see what was offered and important to manufacturers at the time. Richard and Harley: excellent finds for the bike and shed. That foot pump box came up beautifully!

What a load of old. . . . memorabilia you bought there! Some people would have seen it and thought, Junk. I find the cutaway SU a thing of beauty. After studying that you could be in no doubt as to how it works. The foot pump box came up a treat and it was nice to see the writing on the top 'shine through' as you say, you couldn't see it before. Thank you to Stewart for the printed matter, that was interesting to see. Thanks Rick for the post. 👍👍

What an interesting video Rick. That Pump Box is a lovely item - I think I'd have bought that too. Those old brochures are so good to flick through - how simple everything looked back then, when you could actually 'work' on a car and get it sorted out on a weekend ! Thanks for sharing today - fascinating. Take care 🙂

Thanks Rick, lots of interesting background information relating to William Turner and Bro. Ltd, of Eyre Lane, Sheffield on the net.

Some fascinating stuff there RJ and it got me to thinking that a whole sector of the accessory industry has either disappeared never to return and what remains is now all mostly online and imports.

Hi Richard That foot pump box came up real nice. The lettering on it was very faint, but after the polishing it looked almost brand new. I'm a fan of foot pumps now. 😊. Those pamphlets are interesting, i like the clutch pamphlet the illustrations are very artistic.

over 60 years ago, Friends of my mum had a Hillman husky like the one in the picture. They were dairy farmers and I have vague memories of the car being loaded up every morning with cream cans full of skim milk being taken down the road to a Cream stand .

I always keep a eye out for Automobilia, ephemera, and other collectibles at the Preserved steam railway second hand shops which are located in old railway carriages at certain stations, it is surprising what can be found at general flea markets, antique centres, junk shops, local church flea markets. at the Bolton Steam museum they have a impressive second hand stall in the museum with all sorts for sale. you have a Nice collection

According to the “Bystander” of Wednesday 16 October 1929, a Kismet-Duplex pump could be yours for 58s/6d. That’s a bit over £2.92 decimalised - which is a lot in 1929 money (north of £160 allowing for inflation). Digressing, I worked one summer on a farm as a teenager and the old farmer asked me to inflate a tractor tyre with a foot pump which he’d hooked out of the back of the tack room. I couldn’t even move it at all, so he did it himself. His leg was a blur. Farmer strength is incredible.

Castrol Achievements 1966 was one of my prized possessions as a child. Visiting Stretford from US for next 2 weekends. Anyone with suggestions on where to look for classic car events in NW England?
