I really enjoy the insights that can be gained from what otherwise seems to be meaningless data. I also enjoy creating beautiful graphs and charts. I enjoy being analytical and inquisitive. I am still new to the DS world and am a student pursuing a MS in DS, so still actively learning. Keep up the great videos!

I am new to this DS field and i am having fun to draw insights from data and to visualise it effectively to come to an conclusion sometimes i m confused whether to go with the Ai engineer or data scientist coz there is some slight changes in between two please make a video on this too otherwise glad i came to your channel

Hey Sophia, this is such a great topic! Your insights really hit home for me 😀. I've been thinking about this in the past year as well. At some point I really think the "data scientist" title is probably overhyped and I was afraid I lost track of the reasons why I wanted to be in this field in the first place. Agreed with what you said about doing what you want to do vs. the title and salary🙌🏽

I think Data Scientist, Data Analyst, Data Engineer, etc... Have just become titles for HR to figure who they want to hire. I've seen a lot of jobs that seem like they might be a good fit in the description and then I get to the requirements and duties and I'm like wait, that is an awful lot for something that sounds like a very narrow role. But they don't want to pay that person $100, 000 a year so they call it something else. Hoping that they will find someone willing to do that for less.
I guess what I'm saying is that Data Science as a whole needs to redefine what these roles actually are and stop creating unique or special roles just so they don't have to say they are looking for a Data Scientist or a Database Engineer.
That's my view, but I'm pretty new to all this. I would love to see another video dealing with what realistically the differences are between each position. Because in my experience some of these roles have had significant changes and alterations in just the last year.
I want to work in Data Science. I want to solve problems for customers and for society at large. Anything from finding someone the next movie they want to watch to trying to figure out how to keep coral in our oceans from disappearing to solving the next generation of self driving cars. I'll work on anything you give me access to. I'm not picky.

I thought I wanted to do data science but it's because I thought it was hardcore ML/deep learning research applied to an interesting domain. I now know data science is basically computational statistics. I still want to be an AI scientist but now I have to get a CS degree and maybe a CS PhD.

I wanted to become data scientist to have a job after some years. But...I just can't. I don't want to offend or upset anyone, it's just not my thing.
