18. The Typology of the Book of Joel Part 1 || ANCHOR '23

In this Anchor class we will study in detail some of the minor prophets that are closely linked with the book of Revelation. Among those are Habakkuk, Nahum, Joel and Jonah. We will also study portions of the major prophets that are developed in the book of Revelation such as Jeremiah 4, Isaiah 24-27, 36-38 and Ezekiel 38-39 among others. But this is not all, we will also compare God’s perspective of prophecy and ours as well as prophecies that are rarely considered, such as the typological meaning of the cities of refuge, the glory on the face of Moses as he descended from the mount, and the typological parallels between the building of the Jerusalem wall by Nehemiah and our parallel work today.

The needs are more in the spiritual than the physical. Of course we still hv to look out for those who are truly in need of physical as well.

10:37 is a perfect example of why you should 86 New King James Version. "Though they lunge between the weapons" ? What is that even supposed to mean?
"and when they fall upon the sword, " KJV, clear and easily understood.

This presentation addressed my struggle. It is true that God delivered Daniel and the three worthies and others in order to protect His name and His people.

But what about the martyrs? The apostles? The Waldenses? Why were they tortured and murdered when God had a covenant agreement with them as well? Did the torturers at that time revel in the fact that their false gods and their governments were stronger than the one true God?And what about the future martyrs?

Each of us at the end of time will have to wonder if God will allow us to suffer and die, or whether we will be spared. So stressful.

Why would a loving Father allow this for His obedient children? I struggle to understand this…
