Bad Religion was my first "#1 favorite band" as a kid, when I first got into music for myself and was still cutting out a space for myself apart from the tastes of my very musically active parents. To this day they hold a place in my heart that few other bands can touch. I can't express enough joy that they are still going strong, and still making great new albums after so very many years. I have more favorite Bad Religion songs than some bands have songs at all. Here's to hoping they keep it up

I love this song, In my opinion, Bad Religion just know how to end every album in an epic way: Don't sell me short, Live Again, Fields of Mars, Walk Away, Bored and Extremely Dangerous... and this song is another one, just epic, I love it!!!

I have been a Bad religion fan for a long timeand I think that this is their best album.
You cant blame them for evolving some of their styles. Hell Greg Graffin is 46.
It would be unfair to him to write everything the same. And I really dont get all the hating on this album cause most of their songs are still the Bad Religion we all know.
They just have a couple different songs which I think are excellent

Really catchy and smooth song to end the album. I like this one a lot actually. This album and the previous album had their ups and downs but the high ups on them carried any low points.

I love the contrast of the opening song "the day the earth stalled" and then this song, the closing track. It kinda symbolizes how they first started out and how they've grown as a band over the years. anyway, enough analysis... this is a great fucking song!

@Hupsibasse The references he makes in this song to Desmond Morris, Rene Descarte and Hobbes are pretty intense though. Might be worth a look around at some online explanations of the lyrics and maybe give a different view on the decadence. Maybe not, just trying to enrich the debate :)
