I remember a game at Arrowhead stadium that the Raiders put him back to return a punt . He rarely did that . There was a penalty on the play which he fair caught . The Chiefs punted again and he returned it to the house .

Don't forget, we didn't wear no gloves. Legendary to not wear no gloves those balls coming in with speed and power and still catch them with no sticky gloves or anything.

Agreed, probably the most underrated NFL players of all time. His versatility was unmatched. How many punt returns did Jerry Rice take? Rice had hall of fame QB's for most of his career. Tim Brown had Jay Schroeder, good, Jeff Hostetler, great, Jeff George, good, then a bunch of sub par quarterbacks, then Rich Gannon, great, but never the level of QB's Jerry Rice had.

Redefined the WR position? In what way? He was very good. Like Andre Reed they both played a very long time. He deserves his election to the HOF. There are better WRs like Jerry Rice, TO, Calvin Johnson, Randy Moss that were far more dominant than Brown ever was. That said only Johnson had worse QBs throwing him the ball. If the Raiders had any competent QB then he probably would have had an even better career.

All them years as a raider and no Super Bowl win. That’s sad. Charles Woodson had to go to other team to win a ring. Cliff branch the greatest raider receiver of all time 3 time Super Bowl champ
