I review, breakdown and explain Outlander Season 7 Episode 16. I discuss the finale of Season 7 Part 2 which saw Claire being related to Frances and Faith being alive when she was thought to be dead during the ending. I react to moments such as Jane’s death, William trying to save her, him bonding with Jamie and Lordy John, Rolo’s death and Ian and Rachel leaving for North Carolina. I compare the show to the novels and also give my theories and predictions for Season 8.

The dog Rolo!s passing really hit me hard and took me back to that day as I too found my dog in the barn when I was 15. He passed at 15 years old curled up sleeping.

The little child is a fabulous actress, I've not watched episode 16 yet but in episode 15 I thought she was outstanding.

Im not kidding, tears are running doen my face😢and all our dogs were/are super smart. Onlu one full breed dog, a border Collie named Muffy. Had papers and everything. She herded my kids on the driveway keeping them only at a safe distance from the road. I was out there too 🥰😓. All you dog lovers know what I'm talking about ❤❤❤

Another time travel then. Explains the mysterious theory of multiverse. And Master Raymond being a magical creature himself holds the strings that bind the whole two-world theory. Lovely❤❤❤.

4:59 Jamie isn't saying that he doesn't regret her death. He certainly does. He is saying that he doesn't regret "bedding" her out of wedlock and without love because William was the result.

I knew something was weird as Jane looked a lot like Bree.

I honestly think that it was Claire’s French friend, Marie. She was pregnant at the time that Claire lost her baby, and probably heard Claire singing that song and named her baby Faith in honor of Claire. She tells Claire that Faith “is an angel.” Hence the episode title. That’s just my theory

Jaime was being pissy around John was just stupid!!! Claire should have straighten that out with her directness we have seen so many times.

It was a heartbreaking scene when Rolo died. My Lab died after 9 years. He died in my son's arms while I was rushing him to the emergency animal vet. Brings tears to my eyes even now.

Very emotional season finale. It seemed to resolve many of the relationships and then suddenly add an unexpected situation with Frances, Jane and Faith. As always, great acting!

A great finale. I can't help but theorize that Claire's parents did not die but time traveled, had another daughter, called her Faith and taught her that song. Faith could have had Claire's clairvoyant abilities too, same aura and some scientific knowledge as well as that song which was composed in 1907. Frances could therefore be Claire's niece. That way William and Jane are not related by blood. She did see master Raymond again in a dream as he told her he would. Why did he ask for forgiveness though? Perhaps he knew Claire's parents or Faith who had the same aura as Claire but he had to keep it a secret, and perhaps he orchestrated the name for the deceased baby as a way to ask her forgiveness for not being able to tell her. Perhaps he was helping Faith in some political mission that Claire's parents set upon? Perhaps that's why Faith ends up in the colonies? Aaah can't wait for season 8 to know !!! Having quickly rewached season 2 parts with master Raymond, it is now more obvious he was a time traveler himself or knew about it because he said he was interested in things not of this time. The last thing he told Claire was: we will each other again, have faith.

Claire held her deceased baby for a whole day I think she would have known if the baby was actually alive. Likely Frances’ mother was also a traveler. Even if some miracle the baby was somehow resuscitated, how would anyone remember a song they heard at one day of age? The most likely explanation is Frances and Jane’s mother was from the 20th century, like several others in the story.

I love this development! There has been speculations and fan theories over the years about Faith's fate. If she did live, I can't wait to see this in S8 and hopefully, in Book 10 if this is what Diana's thought all along but it hasn't been written. I did read in an interview that she kind of mentioned it to the showrunners i.e. about the possibility and they ran with it. What I am also excited about is if they will include another speculation about Fergus being Claire's ancestor given what we know from the books that he is possibly the son of Comte St. Germain and a noble lady. So that would be another big bombshell if they pay it out in the final season!

Can someone explain to me why John Grey AND Claire didn’t explain to Jamie that John saved her from being arrested and executed by the British by marring her? Only that they slept together? Seems like a massive omission…

Remember, they took the baby away after it was born, it is possible Claire was given another baby to grieve over, but unless Master Raymond orchestrated that it seems implausible.
