Newcomer Azhy Robertson stars as Oliver, a lonely young boy who feels different from everyone else. Desperate for a friend, he seeks solace and refuge in his ever-present cell phone and tablet. When a mysterious creature uses Oliver’s devices against him to break into our world, Oliver’s parents (Gillian Jacobs and John Gallagher Jr.) must fight to save their son from the monster beyond the screen. The film is produced by The Picture Company for Amblin Partners.

The way the show the monster, or in other words show it in quick shots is incredible and really adds to the spook factor

The SCP community needs to ease up a little on this movie. (and before you get mad, yes, i am an avid part of the community and have been for years.
Large thin monsters with pale skin and a creepy atmosphere are not all 096. Just as they are not all the Rake, or a wendigo, or the numerous other monsters with that visage.

The core way the monster in this movie works is nothing like 096, and we should take that initial sketched picture of 'Larry' (as well as the name if you think of Radical Larry) as an Easter egg, homage, or nod the the community- not an attack.
