Quick tip - decode Jaguar stereo without pin code

As requested after the original Jaguar cold start video I did, here's how I unlocked the coded radio.

Can confirm it's the same buttons with the touch screen nav too. Just used this vid on the off chance and it worked. Cheers

This works great and thanks very much. However, if you have the old type like mine, you must make sure there isn't a cassette tape in the player. Couldn't get the reset to work until I'd taken it out and found out by accident. Not sure if the same applies for a CD but worth bearing in mind.

I have a 2002 Jaguar XJ8 my head unit looks a little different but most of the buttons look the same, I tried this and it didn’t work any suggestions? I can’t find anything on this and the jag dealer said they had no clue what I was talking about lol

Jaguar switched on to this and it doesn't work on some cars although on Ebay you can get the code for only £2.49 if stuck

I have a similar problem on my jag 2004. Is locked since i tried to update the system. Now the radio screen completly black and the ac is always turned on. Is there someone who had the same prob?!
