Those potective caps can easily be made better looking. They won't have to go alll around, they can be made to stand out a bit in just the few key areas where the helmet makes contact. And special flexible shiny paint can be used to present the logos as before.

Ok, just to give an idea what Rodger’s missed. They call it mandatory because they hand out key cards but really it’s one hour of orientation, then they break for subway snacks. The rest of the afternoon is arts and crafts, finger painting and connect four.

Hey Mike.... I've got 2 things on the guardian cap/helmet issue.

I understand your arguments for them "if it reduces ANY injury then the league should implement them" but have you thought about the possible issues of 1) the helmet will have no more air flow to allow athletes heat from the head to escape causing a big uptick in heat related injuries and 2) with the guardian caps making a bigger circumference which would cause the heads to be tilted in more extreme angles causing even more head/neck injuries?

Let's not be so quick to make a change for the sake of change. Sometimes replacing one thing with another under the disguise of safety isn't actually addressing the issue and could cause more harm than the current measures. Just my .02$

Plenty of time to make the appearance look hard and plasticky. Its a materials science problem
