Hi SwitchUp, cracking review. It was a pleasure to work on the project again after 20 years. I added 1h20m of new music to the game. As well as the new levels, there is extra music dotted around some of the original levels too. Especially in the Asylum. The entire soundtrack now rocks in at over 3hours! So great for a long journey - INTO DEAD SIDE!

It’a tempting, I wish we could get some more old ports, a legacy of kain port would be incredible

I remember back in the day, my dad bought this game for me and my mom threw a huge fit because of the content 🤣

Dad didn't care he wanted to play it too, and we had so much fun! I will always remember this game. One of the best birthday presents ever lol

Omg, this was one of my favourite N64 games, completely forgot about it. I hired it from the video store countless times. Can't remember much of it, but definitely purchasing for the nostalgia

Played this to death on Dreamcast back in the day, underated gem of its time. Looks a fantastic remake, Nightdive really know how to bring old games into the modern era whilst keeping the essence of what made the game great - pity they didn't get the Gta trilogy gig!

This is one of my all-time favourites. The atmosphere and soundtrack is just so good, it easily makes up for some gameplay flaws. Can't wait to dive back in and discover the extra content.
Btw, the map you showed, came with the N64 game back in the day. I think I still have it somewhere.

That main theme soundtrack is still one of the best ever to this day!

Thanks for the review! This game made a huge impression on me when I played it back on the N64, it was so good. Can’t wait to be able to play it again.

I don't remember this game at all as a kid. The work the developers put into this one with all the recommendations the connect section for this one definitely had me intrigued!

I am playing through it again on my Switch after owning it as a kid on N64. I am lost but refuse to use a map. Loving it!

I loved this game on PC. This is a must buy for me...

I really love the level designs in this game. Great artwork

One interesting fact, is there are samples of music in this games soundtrack that are from actual Vodoun Cultural music that is hard to find, but exists. Those samples being most, if not all of the Tribal sounds and beats in this game.

One of the very few games I didn’t complete on the N64. I remember I was so excited when 12 year old me got it. And yep I hid from my mum too playing it when I was meant to be sleeping, great times.
Thanks for the review and for the nostalgia ✌️ awesome as always

Me and one of my stepsons used to play this together on N64, taking it in turns to have the controller. Probably one of the first experiences I had of a videogame that had a darker, more adult vibe, and I remember the intro (with Moonlight Sonata playing) being so atmospheric.
