The Mass Kobo model 394 mk2 & Cen Grand Silver Fox power the Susvara well.
The 394 gives it more life, punch & energy.

Thank you for this video, I have Amber 3, bought it new few years ago when it just came out. I do agree with most of what you said (maybe I would not go as far with the bass, I don’t think it’s as exaggerated as you put it l think it’s well define Bass)It’s on relaxed side without loosing details. And it’s holographic. Also the reason it doesn’t work well with your vio amp is simple Lampizator is Polish and vio is German. Cheeers, keep up the great job you do.

Random ask - would you be willing to review some of the portable Koss headphones such as the PortaPro and similar? I think it would be pretty interesting to get your take on them.

Just wanted to draw people’s attention to the fact that this is a DAC that uses tubes— I don’t know which types but it would help to explain the “meatiness” of the sound.

Interesting ... however removing the cover to see the inside -- pcb, chips, etc -- is a must. Inside views are what qualifies an influencer ;)

strange that the low gain sounded better for you. it has been mentioned by other reviewers that it performed much better in high gain. night and day difference. Must add that they had to lower the output of their streamer to benefit from the high gain. Also let us know if the bass of the weiss 204 come close to this one

I’m extremely undecided about whether to purchase an Amber 3 or a Baltic 3. It seems you own or have listened to both of them. What are the main differences between the two, in a nutshell? I’m particularly interested in achieving a warm tone in the midrange and vocals. Which one would you recommend to pair with a Feliks Audio Elise MK II and ZMF Atrium Open headphones? Currently, I’m still using a Schiit Modius (AKM). Thank you!

this DAC makes no sense to me. On one hand we got a Soekris DAC board that is R2R and we all know R2R need to be always on and takes literally days to sound at its best, on the other hand we got tube stage that can't be on all the time.

Too big, too heavy for an entry level system. Too few inputs and outputs for the price.
