I really like Yayo Combat, it’s a nice middle ground between combat extended and vanilla. 2 mods you didn’t shout out are Simple Sidearms and Dual Wield which allows your pawns to have more than one weapon equipped.

one of my favorite mod is supreme melee that doing make melee pawn harder to kill with dodge and parry. I really like combat readiness check it's a mod that gives raids that show up doesn't bake potato laptop.

i keep playing the game with ce since like 2020, played all the dlcs with it and the mod actually has patches for so many other mods, i think that compatibility isnt a really big problem as of right now. i play biotech with like 5 mods tho, its not that ce has humbled me, its just that i dont really need anything else to enjoy the game properly

You should check out Melee Animation mod, it doesn't add new weapons, but it does add new animations for your melee fighters like dueling, and executions. It even has unique executions if pawns have melee skill higher than 18.

CAI-5000 is literally ground breaking but tanks my fps so much i had to remove it, big sad

Personally, I think VCR is the go-to combat mod now. Yayo's isn't updated anymore, which means it would be best to use alternatives. CE is also awesome but can be a bit overwhelming with the ammo, and extremely annoying to get a mod list going with it.

Smarter raider ai is a mod that deserves more love it works with cai really well and the creator updates it often

Simple sidearms is another one that would go great here. Pretty much what it says on the tin you can have your pawn equipped with a primary weapon and a smaller side arm (pistols & smaller melee weapons no rifles or long swords) and they will swap when the situation calls for it. Raider charges your sniper? “I GOT A MACE!”

Two combat mods that come to mind:

1. Dual-wielding mod! Wield two pistols and go full movie-mode!
2. Giddy up 2! Because charging in on a bear mount is badass!

Great content i've only been using you to learn rimworld at first i didn't like your character bouncing but i like it now :D.... anyways i was hoping you could put out a video explaining how to enable "Development mode" again because i accidently permanently deleted it LMAO...
