The officer used common sense not law. Leave him alone. It was a happy mode all the way around and he kept it at a happy mood. Instead of creating friction between police and the people. I guarantee if the kid was drunk or didn't have his license he would do his job.

The cop could have written him a ticket, points could have gone on his license. Instead, the cop took the circumstances into account (the Dream Cruise) and gave hit a single swat that was lighter than what he experienced when he sat back down in his truck. Point made, I doubt the guy will do any burnouts, and he didn't suffer any real penalties.

Give me a break. It was all in fun, no harm done. The cop did the kid a favor, by not writing tickets. The teen learned a good lesson, and all is good. Great outcome in my eyes. A good laugh for evreyone. Make the cop full time, we need more like that on the streets. It's called Community Policing.

The kid suggested that, in his household, spankings were given if you misbehaved, and that is the way he took it, and was thankful the police officer spanked him because 1) he didn't get a ticket and 2) the police officer gave him a lesson. For people who suggested that the parents should've spanked him long ago are odd considering the parents not only did spank him throughout raising him, but he also positively accepted the spanking by the police officer, showing his maturity. However, I do think the spanking should have been more than just one spank on the butt because that could have been really dangerous. I could see maybe one spank on the bare butt due to the extra added embarrassment of exposure, but I do think crime rates would reduce if spanking was an acceptable form of punishment by police officers instead of tickets.

I would have sued the officer for assault and emotional distress for the embarrassment and the social media firestorm I had to endure. But all that's out the window now because he said that he'd thank the officer.

I was a cop for 20 years... and did this for all the good looking women I pulled over - without consent, similar to how this Deputy did it. "Bend over." I see no conflict. 🤔 I'm sure all you other commenters would support me in my disciplinary efforts. 😁 (Do you not see the problem here???)
