Dang, I'm fairly young with no vocal training, but I've been able to do the vocal fry for a while. I've studied music, but I didn't know how to get those clean subharmonics. Thanks for this, gonna try and get down there; loved hitting those deep notes, even if they aren't quite polished yet.

This was so helpful. I didn't know this had a name. I hit B1. I'm going to practice to get a few lower and strengthen it. It is pretty weak, and I feel it vibrating by my heart on the right side, i suspect I'm only using my full vocal cords, because the left isn't really moving much. This is pretty cool.

I will try this one but I think this is something I have somehow managed to learn also. But I know I cant get as low as you do but I still can go deeper than my normal voice! :)

Subharmonics are amazing. I'm a mezzo-soprano, and my normal voice goes down to F3 if I really push it. But with subharmonics I can flip(?) my G3 into a G2, and I can sing subharmonics up to *just* F3, so that would extend my voice all the way from G2 to D#6. I can't sing everything equally as comfortably but it's really cool that I can already sort of produce the sounds, I just have to practise a LOT to make it comfortable.

Also something I found out: if I make a subharmonic G#2 out of a G#3 and I relax even more, it drops to like an E2 or something? I would call it sub-subharmonic and I am really curious what it does, because the existence of it implies one could theoretically (or practically?) keep on "halving" the frequency endlessly!... With sub-subharmonics included, my possible voice range currently starts at D2 and goes up to D#6 🤯🤯

I've just started finding my own subharmonics. I'm facing lots of problem with stability so far, but it's just few days since I've started, so I'm going to approach with patience:) I'm high bass voice type so I hope developing some of good quality notes in 1st octave. How long can it take to get so strong projection of subharmonic notes ?

I can do chest-fry but it doesn't sound great. I'll try this and see if I can get cleaner low notes

How to increase volume?
I can always hit C2-D2 though in the evening it usually takes some warming up, and they lack volume (I have to literally touch the mic to my mouth to pick it up).
Otherwise after I wake up and often thru the afternoon I can hit lower notes like A1, and occasionally down to G1#, and then my C2-D2 are noticeably louder too.
Do you know why that happens, and how to prepare them with reliably and with good volume in the evening too?
