To properly ban a user, you have to ban their user ID number, then no matter what Ip they are using, the account is still banned.This of course will not block any additional accounts they create.

Well well, you can ban people BUT then are able to come back with an other account. only Discord Staff (workers) are able to ip ban or disable or delete accounts. So as an normal user you cant ip ban someone.

This is not accurate. Even if using this regular ban function actually bans someone's IP (which I don't think it does), the user can restart their router or use a VPN to bypass the ban and jump into the server using a new (fake) account. We've had this happen across our Discord Servers and it's a never ending headache.

Tor browser is an ez fix to get around ip bans. Some discord bots can detect vpn use but they cant detect Tor.

sadly this does not work if they keep using a VPN to bypass the ban. even Discord cant stop them

This is complete misinformation. The regular ban function only targets the account in question; not the IP address it operates under. Furthermore, the user can simply restart their router or use a VPN to bypass and come right back into the server with a different account.

The meaning of ip ban is the guy who got ip banned can't join no matter what he does except using vpn and he can't even join using alts cuz it's an ip ban so is this what your saying or a different one ?

A guy in my friend's discord has a bot who spans 5000 emojis in one second so we banned him but the bot recreates an alt account instantly and rejoins, I dont know what to do
