I made a macro pad using the RP2040 Zero on QMK (and KMK)! The Grass

I wanted a keeb that can have OLED, Argeebeeh and 40% key layout, so I sought out to test RP2040 controllers due to the many pins they have.

This is my first RP2040 and I chose this because it was small and cute, plus it was the cheapest I could get at MYR16 (around USD threefiddy).

I learned how to do animations (kinda) and how to get QMK to run on RP2040 from this build. Still don't know what to use this keypad for, but in the meantime its a good fidget toy.

Hey, just saw your video.
I built my own macropad a bit ago and to change qmk layouts and configure macros etc. I recommend integrating via support in the firmware.
No recompile needed then.

Hi.
Thanks for the video.
How did you do the rgb part?
Is it changing depending on key you press?
thx 😊😊

FYI. For your DuPont connectors there are pre made ones that usually comes with breadboard or buy them separately. There are also 90 degrees header pins that you use to connect the DuPont connects to the rp2040 MCU

Hello! Love the build! Question: how did you connect the OLED screen to the RP2040? Was it also via the dupont connectors?
