Your circuit breaker will trip way before your wires insulation begins to melt. That is why we have circuit breakers to begin with.

I guess in this demonstration, there are no breakers protecting this outlet?
Im an Electrical Engineer that specifically works with system protection.
You can try this at any home, and the fuse will blow on old homes, or the breaker will trip on modern homes. The only other chance this would have of happening would be that the wiring is severely undersized for its protection.

Wrong. The breaker will trip before the insulation of the wire melts. Plug away. There's electric codes in place to protect the wire. 😅
