In this video and talk about a simple photography technique to quickly blend photos in photoshop cc from lightroom cc. I also talk about the finger technique to remove flare from your photos when shooting directly into the sun and how I created one of my favourite photos of the year.

Working my way up...only four month's behind....great to see the progress, your self-confidence and enthusiasm and the development of your business.
(Why are people disliking this? I do my post processing mainly in Photoshop in stead of Lightroom, but that can not be it?)
Great job!

I'm so glad that you (and Ansell Adams) value post processing so highly. Not only because it puts pay to the argument that it is 'cheating' but also because until my camera skills get considerably better I rely on my ability to salvage most of my pics in LR and/or PSD. Thanks for another great video Nigel.

Great video as always Nigel. I must try blending more often. Watching your video has shown me that it actually doesn't have to be that difficult. Well presented and cracking image as well! :-)

Congrats on having your own preset, newsletter AND workshops! That's a big step - wishing you all the best of luck with them ☺ Also, the editing technique in this video is definitely something I need to learn myself so thanks for the tutorial Nigel! Keep up the good work - it sure was a great image!

Nicely done Nigel....always interesting to see others workflow on specific images rather than just "general" ideas..

Fantastic image :)

Question - When you go back into LR you're now editing a TIF and not a raw file. If you were shooting in manual and camera settings for both shots were identical, is it not possible/better to adjust the highlights and shadows (as a minimum) on one image, copy them to the next and then open them in PS? I've never done exposure blending yet, but I like to do as many of my edits in LR first on the RAW image and only go to PS and convert to TIF at the last possible moment.

I first saw the finger technique in one of Paul G Johnson's videos but have forgotten about it since then. Glad you made a tutorial about it showing the amazing results. Thank you!

Great video Nigel :) The message about post processing is awesome. Ansel, one of the best landscape togs of all time used the darkroom as a modern day LR. Brilliant

Thank you for the presentation Nigel. Essential info for us LR-PS creatives to learn. Albeit the process isn't yet working for me. I'm so frustrated at my level of difficulty to do (or even understand) anything COMPLEX in LR and evidently ANYTHING AT ALL in PS. Geesch! Nonetheless I'm very happy to be here (in your video commentary) with some of my imaginary freinds (AKA YouTube photograpy content creators); Kim Grant, Paul G. Johnson, Julian Baird and you, Nigel. Be happy, be safe and be well!

Love the fact there is no baseball cap while presenting at home... nearly as much as the content. Thank you for another great video. Very helpful and informative.
