I have a handful of gay conservative friends and they sound exactly like the older man with the drinks. One of them told me, " I would rather be back in the closet than deal with this bulls***". Another one of my gay friends said, " Life was better when everyone minded their own business. Everyone knew I was gay and nobody cared".

there's a difference between treating people with respect and agreeing with them about everything they believe. The modern LGBTQ movement often fails to make this distinction.

On the Simpsons - decades ago - there was a gay pride parade with one guy shouting, "We're here, we're queer, get used to it!" to which Lisa Simpson responded, "You do this every year. We are used to it."

The guy at the end, kept saying he was going to catch hell for saying that pre-pubescent kids shouldn't be taking puberty blockers and transing themselves. The "community" has mastered fear of their people, but they KNOW the truth, and are speaking up when asked, so that is something.

It's almost comical that some people still think the LGBTQIA+* is a struggle. I'm sorry, half the year is dedicated to pride.. maybe the needle will move back to center where we don't care anymore.

There is a rumor at my work (Stuff Mart) that if anyone does not affirm one guy's lifestyle and use his preferred pronouns, they will be fired. So yesterday, (somebody, I didn't realize it was him right off) he said to my back, "Tommy" I said "sir?" he said "ma'am", I turned around prepared to become unemployed. Most of my fellow employees feel as I do. Even the gay ones. Nobody really likes the guy ... TBH
