Hollywood needs to get out of the habit of taking 2 years to make 8-10 episode seasons. If network TV can pump out 22 episodes each year with a 6 month break max in between seasons there's no reason these premium channels and stream sites with quadruple the budget and half the episodes can't.

The original book of IT has so much more of the background of Pennywise and all his other incarnations. This first season looks to concentrate on the section of the novel that involves The Black Spot location.
