I agree with you 100%. The remote itself is great but the software is difficult to master and assigning buttons from say a PVR is a daunting task with so many ways to get it right. On the other hand, the U2 is the easiest remote I've had to program and if it had back lighting it would be my remote of choice.

I'd get the U2, but it not having Activities is a deal-breaker for me.. it desperately needs to be able to handle activities so that it can mostly control the TV, but only the volume on my amp. Good to see the X1S can do that, but it's pricy and I agree with the buttons being in an awkward position at the bottom.
