What can be done to relieve the strain on your welding specialists and make the workplace as safe as possible? The WELDPROF® explains using the STOP principle.

The limit values for welding fumes have been constantly reduced in recent years. Production companies can no longer ignore health protection and occupational safety for male and female welders. The STOP principle offers new approaches to making welding workplaces healthy and safe:

S – Substitution: Can direct current welding possibly be replaced by impulse welding?
T – Technology: Using welding fume extraction torches is the preferred measure
O – Organisation: Can the welding specialist take over more related work and do less welding jobs?
P – Personal protective equipment: Is it possible to use ventilated welding helmets?

From an individual point of view, some of these aspects are certainly not easy to implement or do not make sense. Prof. Dr. Emil Schubert explains why welding fume extraction at the source of the welding fumes should be the method of choice.
