I wonder whether fear of loss also plays a part in the dissatisfaction. Since the more you have, the more you could potentially lose.

I can see how discontent forms in people, but other countries freedom makes them content. Why does the freedom of U.S democracy make people want more, is it not free for all and not for a lot of things. We should also account for difference between the psychology of human rights/needs and the psychology of picking overproduced grocery items
