Integrating Research and Improvement Science: Benefits for Patient Outcomes

Health care is becoming increasingly complex and obtaining the best clinical and patient reported outcomes for the people we serve relies on a combination of generating evidence of best practices and then reliably implementing those practices into health care delivery. Integrating research and improvement science has demonstrated success in improving patient outcomes, particularly when focused on the benefits of standardized care, understanding context, applying theory and capitalizing on experimental design.
