i have to say, that early bit with the kid sneaking into the hotel on a dare and encountering someone standing on the stairs and the kid stops in his tracks and the camera doesn't move for hours until the battery finally dies the next morning is one of the creepiest things i've ever seen....and there's no jumpscare or anything!!!

For all the horrifying questions this series raises, the one that still keeps me up at night is how in the everloving hell does a guy who died in the 80's who's been living in his abandoned, demon-infested hotel for nearly 40 years know how 'Be Our Guest' goes?

What I wanna see in one of these movies is someone who, after hearing everything thats been going down at the hotel, roll up with a trunk full of Molotov cocktails and torch the place. Some sort of ghost hunter who goes around cleaning up haunted or cursed sites.

HH Holmes was one of the most prolific serial killers of all time. The actual count of his victims is unknown but well over 100. His hotel of horrors in Chicago is what the abadon is based on supposedly. Also, the fantastic character of James Patrick March in AHS Hotel is also based on Holmes

3:04 - you NEVER pick up someone who asks for a ride in the middle of nowhere, especially if it's in a dangerous area (an abandoned hotel known for many deaths counts here). And it's not even about ghosts in the movies, the chance that person is a cereal (lol) killer is much higher than if not.
