The difference is in Jokic and Lebron. Jokic integrated Westbrok while Lebron just blamed him and didn't want Westbrok's play to affect any of his stats.

Jason is wild with the fake applause. Russ didn’t have to change anything. Just call a spade a spade and say LA misused him and LeBron wasn’t as good as Jokic is for Russ. Plain and simple. They scapegoated him. They told him he could play how he wanted and then didn’t let him really. Then when Bron and AD couldn’t stay healthy, they expected Russ to win with the bench guys? Stop lol. What’s even crazier is Russ has unlocked a lot for Jokic as well. Jokic has neverrr had someone make the game as easy for him as Russ has (and vice versa). If you look at Russ’ career, LA stands out as the outlier. He was good to great literally everywhere else for the most part.

Had the Nuggets not inexplicably blown a 20 pt lead vs TWolves in GM 7, I really believe Denver would've gotten past the Mavericks in the WCF to meet the Celtics in the Finals. Denver would've given Boston fits with Jokic... maybe not have won the Finals, but at least pushed them to 6 or 7 games unlike Dallas

Russ is one of the greatest point guards of all time. Denver runs an actual offensive system and have empowered Russ to be a point guard. They don’t ask him to play the perimeter or stand in the corner. LeBron ball doesn’t work anymore he’s too old. These analysts talk crazy for clicks and don’t even realize what they’re watching. Lakers are toxic and they will find another scapegoat this year too.

I don't understand how people can constantly say russ deserved the criticism when he clearly was not being used right. If someone isnt put into a situations to succeed then of course they are going to play bad. The way Jokic plays with Russ is the way LeBalco shouldve been playing with him

If Jokic and Westbrook can win the chip this year they're the second coming of Hakeem and Drexler. Hakeem carried a bad team to the first ring. Then he rejuvenated Drexler's career after Drexler got stomped by Jordan.

Jokic is kind of giving him the reigns unlike in LA where Bron and AD tried but couldnt really gel with Russ’s style. So kudos to Jokic for adjusting to Russ’s style. Still dont trust westbrook though….
