so you could stay for a week on the edge of a black hole and come back a billion years old without dying?

Scientist often say "at 40, 000ths of a second after the Big Bang" or "24 hrs after the Big Bang". If time is relative than isn't the theoretical measurement of time at the Big Bang kind of meaningless?

@Joshua Richardson - Technically yes. You would come back to Earth and be a billion years according to our time. But in your time, because of your position near the black hole, you spent what seemed to be a week. Crazy how something like time can be affected like that.

This guys is a genius! Love watching his seminars

This is why its possible for type 3 civ to survive dieing universes. If your old universe is dieing, than go make a new place in a black hole where the time is 1/100 times slower than the old universe, and do that again and again. Basicly like inception.

But why the time will slow when you will enter to blackhole please explain it

What happens to the light spectrum shift of the stars nearby? Near the event horizon do you see all stars as Blue Shifted? As if they are rushing madly towards you, your time slows so that the light appears compressed or shifted massively towards the blue? I don't know why I can't follow this through in my head.

I once had a dream that we were all born inside of black hole. Like seriously, the whole universe is just inside of a black hole and that multiverses exist inside of them.

Gravity slows time. We can calculate by what amount but we'll never know how gravity does it because we exist in time. To observe how something works you cannot be in the thing. Just the way in order to see how earth rotates and revolves you have to be outside earth. In other words, to see how time slows you have to be outside time, in otherr words you have to die. Only the Creator of time(assuming there is) and all those that no longer live in time (assuming there are) can see how time slows and stops. No one else can or will ever be able to. Cos if time stops or slow down you and everything that exists will stop or slow down with it and there will be no way to know it ever stopped or slowed down. It's really sad man but we're all prisoners of time and death is the only way out. 😁😁😁

So time is slower with high gravity/acceleration

I understand why to an outside observer you would appear in slow motion, but i dont get how the person in the black hole is somehow going way faster

Don’t you get it? Its the future teleport of time from mankind.

So is it speed that warps spacetime or gravity that works space time? Or is it the G-Force created by speed or what? That's what I don't understand. How does that go along with the speed of light and why do things change like that?

So you would only physically age a week as well?

Is there a region near black hole where time is exactly zero? What would happen if you stay there?

How much fuel would the rocket ship need? Enough for a week? Or enough for a million years?

Bro what is the reason time slows.
Please please please reply.

Does this work in practice? Do you really age slower?, it seems like for this to work in practice we'd have to show that time dialation caused by gravity can also slow down metabolism.

What will happen to my age? Will it increase according to earth time or it will increase only a week according to black hole time.

So does time stop inside a black hole?
