2 things I want in this game.
#1 add drag cars like you did drift cars
#2 EXTEND THE DAMN DRAG WAY

For those who only know the Regal GNX from forza or F&F, us folks IRL just call it the Grand National: The sleeper that overthrew every muscle car of the 80’s and disappeared without a trace.

(These tips I'm about to say are best for RWD drag)

- When drag racing, you want to take the weight and power of the motor and gently guide it up and back during launch. If not enough weight is forced back, the tires will spin. If too much weight is forced back, the car will wheelie or lose power through launch.

(Spring Stiffness)

1.The front spring stiffness should be very soft to push it off the ground, but not too soft or you'll bounce and lose acceleration while going down the track.

2.The rear spring stiffness should be really stiff to force the weight of the car onto the rear tires to prevent wheel spin and increase traction, but if it's too stiff, you'll lose power through too much grip.

(Dampening Stiffness)

1. Front rebound should be soft to help force the tire to lift the front

2. Front bump should be not too stiff and not too soft to help with a smooth landing. If too stiff, the landing could do hard bounces and lose traction; if too soft, the front will wobble down the track causing the car to loose power.

3. Rear rebound should be stiff to keep the car from forcing the wheel away from the body

4. Rear bump should be soft as it helps set the weight of the rear onto the wheel.

(Spring Height)

1.If the car has a low ride height, the rear should sit about 2-3 inches higher than the front. This will help even the weight distribution and even out the car under full acceleration "see pro-mods and funny cars for example" If the rear is too high, it will prevent the power from being delivered properly.

2.If the car has a high ride height, the front should sit between (.4)-2 inches higher than the rear. this helps raise the rear under full acceleration to level out the car "See Gassers and race trucks for example" if the front is too high, it will lose power through the tires.

- Drag cars operate properly with solid/live rear axels to keep each tire even on the strip. the problem its that the Forza series physics make it seem as if all cars have Independent rear suspension. The best way to fix this is with the Anti roll bars.

(Anti-Roll Bars)

1. Rear ARB should be all the way stiff to simulate a Solid rear axel, helps with even traction.

2. Front ARB should be completely soft to simulate double wishbone drag suspension.

(Camber)

1. Rear camber should be 0 as with a solid rear axel, the suspension cant flex separately.

2. Front camber should be between .1-.8 positive to help with reducing front tire friction. Too much front camber can cause instability.

"the game Is kinda arcade-sim and I've realized that it tends to make cars with live rear axels act like IRS. If your trying to simulate a car with a solid rear axel in this game, you have to turn the rear anti roll bars all the way up. I've learned this throughout the years of building drag cars, prerunners, and trophy trucks in the horizon series."

- If you would like to test a tune like this, I have a tune on the storefront for the Nova Horizon Edition, my gamertag is BIGBONEBRAKER11. the tune is a little outdated though as I have not played the game in 2 months and have learned a lot more about tuning since then, but it is still a good example if you need to see how a car should launch. I've also built a drag tune for the Hoonigan Chevy Gasser.

Weight transfer in drag racing is good but what you’re doing is too much, what you want to do is have the power from the engine move the weight up and back and use the suspension to force the tire into the ground ( this is not weight transfer ) the weight transfer plays a role but it’s not the whole story... you want the rear just stiff enough so it forces the tire into the ground but not TOO stiff also if it’s too soft you’ll be moving all the weight back but the suspension compresses and the energy is wasted and not reach the tire... also your dampening is a little off, you have the right idea, Rebound is rate at which body separates from the tire, bump ( compression ) is opposite of that, what you’re doing is making the front end bounce and that weight and force cant be used efficiently... You want the front to jump up and slowly fall throughout the pass, and you want the back to squat ( ever so slightly ) if it’s to stiff you’ll shake ( spin ) the tire, too soft and it’s wasted energy...

You were my secret weapon for a kick start of learning how to rwd tune in FH3, I guess FH4 is basiically the same. Thanks alot bro keep up the solid work

You should definitely start a drag list and I'd love to be in it

So much faster and cheaper than modding my real car. I gotta look into this, then talk my racing buddies into doing the same.

Finally someone in FH4 who builds cars in way that makes sense, and not just put AWD on everything like the average Forza Player (Yes, still applies in 2021)

I just like the way he pronounces the word telemetry

Hey Marz been on your channel since the beginning of fh3 and you helped me become a good tuner and I do not copy your full tunes I just use pointers because I want to learn my self but keep up the good work

Being an adult with responsibilities makes me such a noob at games now!? I didn't even realize I could do all this on this game!? I love dragging but, I've been developing drift tunes this whole time??? Mind bloooown!

Really great video man. My first car was a first 500 production 1984 grand national and it was still a beast in its own right. Great build!

I just so happened to be using the gnx when I came across your vehicle. It worked luje a charm and I learned so much more about the game. I applied this tune to my Gremlin which was already my favorite drag car. Now its a damn freak. Thank you!

Holy shit that 2nd launch was insane. I'm new to Forza and tuning so I gotta get my knowledge in. Will also need to get used the manual shifting. That looks like so much fun. I'll be back to your vids

Came across your channel was looking for a better tune setup for my Toyota Supra fh2 I had a good tune my self but yours was better thanks I'm subbing .

Front tires should be at maximum psi for minimal friction.
