The Amazon rainforest has lost an area the size of Germany and France combined to deforestation in the last 40 years.

One fifth of the Amazon has been lost as a result of deforestation, agricultural farming, and climate change.

Professor Michael Sweet of the University of Derby said rivers in the Amazon are also “starting to dry out."

Luxury furniture and cabinetry.

High-end flooring and decking.

High end Musical instruments (e.g., rosewood for guitars).

Architectural details in upscale expensive homes.

Yacht construction and other niche industries.

This isn't the poor man that has caused this.
