High-Tech Engines
A turbocharged engine comes with whichever V60 you choose, and we've seen two of them before. There's a smooth 5-cylinder with 250 horsepower, as well as a turbocharged 302-hp engine. If you don't need all-wheel drive, opt for the 240-hp 4-cylinder turbo instead. The best part is it returns 37 miles per gallon on the highway, which is more like an economy car than a luxury wagon. You can't go wrong with this trio, but we especially love the turbo 4-cylinder's mix of performance and efficiency.
Cool Swedish Style
Beauty's in the eye of the beholder, but we think you'll agree: The V60 is one hot-looking wagon. Wagons generally aren't fashion leaders, but this one's a definite exception. You could pull up to a red-carpet premiere in a V60 without looking out of place.
Wagon Practicality
If you need more cargo space than a sedan can manage, the V60's a great solution. There's ample room behind the rear seats for just about anything -- a pet, a guitar, you name it. If you need more room, just fold the rear seatbacks down. It's a bit like having a luxury car and your own personal delivery van combined into one vehicle.
Perfect Seats
The V60's front seats offer so much comfort that you'd think they were designed by a chiropractor. The support is perfect, and the cushioning is a great compromise between soft and firm. You can even get unique built-in rear booster seats if you need them for the kids. Volvo has prided themselves on making world-class seats for decades, and that's one thing you can always count on the automaker to deliver.
Mature Driving Character
The V60 isn't quite a sport wagon, and that's a positive. Don't get us wrong: The handling is certainly secure, with a lower center of gravity than any crossover. But the V60 really rides like a luxury vehicle, not a sports car, and we think most buyers will appreciate that fact. It's a classy-looking car, and it feels that way behind the wheel, too.

such a good looking car, especially in red and being the facelift model. Still i'm happy with my black v60d3 r design pre facelift. 10 times the car than the 3 series it replaced.

The V60 R design IS a sport wagon. Fast, very grippy.
The V60 T5 awd with sport package is also a great handler and is decently quick. Again, more of a sportwagen than VW or most European competitors.
Only the V60 T5 fwd, which is the vast majority of US sales, fails to qualify. And now the V60 Cross Country, which is a jacked up version of it.

Much sportier than some want to claim . I have the S60 sedan version, and previously drove 3 series, Saab 9-3 aero, and BMW 540i sport. It's plenty sporty.

We have a power blue and love it. Have camped it it once even. It will never get 37MPG though. I feel like Volvo owes us a gas card on that one.
