I have this and it works very well except for the ratchet failed almost immediately, I replaced mine with a more solid ratchet. I use it when winding up older fence lines and often the wire gets caught on things, so it is imperative that the ratchet strap is done up real tight to the post so it doesn't slip off with the extra force. cheers
