This is actually genius the shoes is actually good for all disabled people that can't put on their shoes by themselves.
Props to Nike by doing this innovation

This is perfect for my 91 y/o grandfather who can't bend over easily to put on his shoes. Please make one in all black so that people who have difficulty (physically) doing simple tasks like that, could have an everyday shoe!

This is actually the greatest shoe design ever. Forget self lacing sneakers, forget laces entirely. This is the shoe of the future

I could really use this. I can't reach my feet easily due to spinal injury, so it can be a long and painful process to lace up my shoes every day.

Longtime disabled, newly post-op surgery with more to come. I cannot wait for this to be an option open to the public. I live in Minnetonka moccasins and Allbirds slippers, but have to put on some Pegasus or React Visions for physical therapy, and what a literal pain.

This is so amazing for people with disabilities. My Mom who lost the use of an arm after a stroke would really like this design idea.

My kid has dyspraxia. It messes with his motor skills so tying his shoe laces has always been a battle. We’ve been waiting 16 years for something like this ❤️ Super excited!

I came up with an idea like this in middle school that was early 2000. What's really mind-blowing is how do you even pitch or get Nike to even look at an idea? How do you even find the materials or the someone who can craft a shoe to even show them?

I work in a high school - I loved seeing the page of math equations. Nice for non-STEM teens to see an application of mathematics that may interest them.

yes, yes a thousand times yes. I usually don't go out of my way to buy shoes (unless they're wearing out), but if this comes to market these are an instant buy for me, it'll help Autistic people like myself immensely. Thank you for these, I look forward to the updates on this concept :)

Thanks for making this video and for sharing publicly - I showed this to my students today, who are doing an Design Sprint. I loved how Haley's "always design for the most extreme cases" is rooted in Empathy. It's a brilliant video - you tell us the problem, the current solution, show your prototype - and then convince us that it's the best!

Aside from helping people with challenges this would probably sell like crazy in countries like Japan and South Korea where people remove their shoes before going into their living rooms or inside restaurants. Nicely done Nike!

It took us like 5k years to finally remove the shoelaces

Since I don't have $45, 000 to buy a pair of Nike MAG Back to the Future (2016) from StockX I might as well buy these!
