Each time I print on glossy photo paper, I get indentations with holes in the paper.

I have the 2720 and thick card stock I’m trying to print on. Any ideas on how to and it work? It has trouble grabbing it and then starts before the paper is loaded to the start point. Any way to adjust the settings. I have a Mac so I can never seem to find advanced settings.
