What i got here is that:
1. Nintendo and Sega actually cares for eachother even after the battle they faced back in the past
2. Sonic dying is probably due to his reputation/sega making horrible games that features him
3. The game that sega announced was probably the only successful one ever they released ever since sonic 1, sonic2, sonic3, sonic3&knuckles. It's probably sonic mania that sega released, which made sonic woke up a bit.
4. Sonic died because after the game they released was the only game that they ever made actually successful that includes modern sonic wasn't enough to make him life..
5. Shadow is a savage, but is also a good freind. Letting sonic rest in peace rather then letting him see more of the bad reputation sega are making for their mascot.
6. Mario is a chad trying to give a 1-UP to sonic, but when shadow didn't want that to happeend. He understood and let sonic rest in peace knowing now that he won't be hated for the bad reputation and games he had.

What do i think what really means this video is:

Sonic's Deathbed is actually an meaning of the 2 2017 games we had in the whole Sonic franchise. That is: Sonic Mania and Sonic Forces. Sonic opening his eyes and waking up means Sonic Mania because is a success, but he dying means Sonic Forces, that was a crap, and Mario taking an 1-UP means a second chance Nintendo is gaving to SEGA, trying to make them successful again. But Shadow not letting Mario do it means that Sonic already had enough, suffering a lot with Sonic Boom, Sonic 06, Sonic Boom:Shattered Crystal, Sonic Lost World and other horrible games he had..
