I played some new games early...

I got to check out some new and upcoming game releases behind-the-scenes in both hands-on and hands-off gameplay presentations.

I got to see/play some new games early at Summer Game Fest, Xbox, and Ubisoft events and I had plenty to talk about. As I say in these videos, early game previews should always be met with some skepticism as they are not the final product but I figured you folks would want some impressions and info.

I like how Jake doesn't try to pass as a "good player", he's just a normal guy that loves videogames. He kills it at some, sucks at some, and he makes it okay. One of the most relatable YouTubers I've seen in a while.

Remnant 2 is one of my most anticipated games this year. Its a co-op Shooter Soulslike and the first game was up there as one of the best and underrepresented Souls games out there.

Pre-ordered the ultimate edition of remnant 2. Remnant 1 became one of my favorite games after i had friends tell me they couldnt figure out how to leave ward 13 so they claimed thw game was garabage and never played again. I booted up the game without them, figured it out and was immediately hooked. Im still helping new players on their runs or survival runs before remnant 2 comes out. This and starfield will probably eat up my next few years in gaming if not more

Remnant’s atmosphere and world building were really good. On paper this game sounds generic AF but once you sink your teeth into it, it’s easy to get lost in the experience.

I'm super excited for remnant 2! I loved the first game... and like you, I'm a solo player. I felt like they did a great job of not making it feel like I was soling co-op content. I also really liked the story, so I'm interested to see where they take it. I'll probably replay remnant 1 sometime before this comes out :-)

Everything from Remnant 2 that I’ve seen reminded me of a different take on what made Returnal work so I’m all in for it

17:10 - Well, "Primal" already looked quite amazing back in 2016 (and still does today), and most of the main "Far Cry" games look pretty lush, so it has been done before. - But this is not on the same engine. It's Snowdrop (debuted with "The Division"), rather than Dunia, which is a bit weird, other than the fact that Massive is of course used to working with that engine. - But I have to assume that these Ubisoft-engines kinda come from the same spring, as it were, so I guess each of them can do similar stuff, and seemingly so.

Really looking forward to Remenant 2! I really hope they tone it down with the mob bosses. Felt like most bosses just mindlessly throw in a bunch of enemies at you to cheaply increase the difficulty. It isn't much of a problem if you have 3 players, but shouldn't they tone it down with how many they throw at you in single player? The answer is no, they didn't, and it sucks playing it single player sometimes. Still, loved the game.

Avatar Far Cry looks good, idm the FC formula when done well, and this looks like a fresh take on it. The Aveum game also came outta nowhere and looks pretty fun! Looking forward to em

I actually think the first 2 mk games were really colorful and vibrant with that same gore/horror. Love the look of the new one

Man, i played like 300 hours of Remnant: From the Ashes. Along with Days Gone, i think it was the most underrated game of the last generation
