I’ll add, try “Nose on the grindstone”. He has such an amazing voice.

Tyler has that Appalachian “cry” in his voice that I absolutely love. His songwriting abilities are awesome! Definitely go down the Tyler rabbit hole!

Glad you guys got to Tyler Childers. "Nose to the Grindstone" is awesome too by him.

Being from Appalachia where Tyler is from, his voice perfectly sums up life there. It’s a hard living. People age twice as fast because the few jobs there are, are usually manual labor or coal mining. Families are isolated from ever leaving for a better life because of the economy and the opiate problem. The soul in his voice perfectly sums up the struggle and pain of just trying to get by.

Ohhh shit! Y’all finally going down the country road, this gets me amped up! I love this song

You could literally close your eyes and pick any one of his songs and not be disappointed. Arguably the best singer/songwriter in any genre at this point in musical history.

My cousin plays drums for Tyler, Rod Elkins. I got to watch Tyler play for 2 hours straight in my paw paws garage. The bucket he sat on is my paw paws most prized possession lol

Tyler is from my neck of the woods (Eastern Kentucky) and I have been enjoying his music for many years now. He was big in the local music scene here since he was about 16 years old. I'm going to suggest an emotional track - Follow You to Virgie.

I'm so glad you guys have decided to check out some country because that gives me an opportunity to suggest one of the best new artists to come out in the last decade - Colter Wall. His songs Devil Wears A Suit And Tie and Kate McCannon are a good introduction to his catalogue if you decide to check him out. You guys just keep putting out bangers, keep it up.

This whole session was golden. All the songs were phenomenal. Tyler is a national treasure.

If a song can give you goosebumps, as it did with both of you, I feel the artist has done it right. It seems only music that truly comes from the soul can do that.

I love how brad calls chord progressions and riffs "beats". It's fantastic.

I normally watch yalls metal reactions, but I love that yall gave tyler some love here. He is the Layne Staley (lead singer of Alice In Chains) of modern country tunes. Tyler Childers and Colter Wall hold a special place in my heart when it comes to newer country artists.

He’s a Kentucky boy. One of the best we got.

Tyler is from Kentucky where Im from, and this is definitely a perfect representation of our music. What you all are talking about in his voice is called an Appalachian cry. His song "nose on the grindstone" is fucking perfection.

I love this song, but it’s one of those I would never have thought of to suggest to you guys. You are very open minded and genre fluid for sure! Keep up the great work Brad and Lex.

So excited to see you checking out this lane of music. Tyler's voice has a cry to it that reminds me of front porches and banjos. Another guy in this lane is Benjamin Tod.... Check out "we aint even kin" from the gems on vhs series.

He's from eastern Kentucky. He was raised playing bluegrass. There's a lot of soul in the music. My son is roughly the same age as Tyler and they knew each other a little. My son and I both play music. It's cool to see people getting into a local boy. Good video y'all.
