This has been very helpful, but it was missing one vital step for me, once I finish concatenate, I want to delete the source columns, and since the formula is still there I can't just delete the columns. What I do is copy the new concatenate column and then in a new column I "Paste Special" and choose to paste the column as a value. This one I can delete the source columns.

Thank you for your simple and nice explanation ....
But I have a problem in using the "Concatinate" function in making a invigilators' duty roster ....
When I drag the names from a column under "Concatinate", it gives only the first name
"Concatinate" require commas ", " by manually between the names ... Which seem uncomfortable for joining more names
So if you any solution, please share with me ....

I can just simply use this "&". Same value would come out. Ex. =B2&", "&A2. I have been using it since 2007.

But it show 0.35 Admin Rights
