The guitarist with the Telecaster is a buddy of mine. 89 years old and still jamming. Russell Williford. Seriously cool dude.

I saw Gene in 60’s London he was on the same bill as Eddie Cochran, they were truly authentic and special.
Sadly it was just a week before Eddie died in a car crash - certainly the passing of a true
Rock-N-Roll legend.

As a kid (I was born in 1975) I always thought this was Elvis until in the mid 80s I was listening to the Wolfman Jack Show and he schooled me on Gene Vincent. Then my Mom grabbed the original album and showed it to me.

From the movie "The Girl Can't Help It", 1956. Had Little Richard, Fats Domino, Julie London, The Platters, Eddie Cochran, and more.

One of the top five rock n roll classics, pure rock and roll, raw, reckless, urgent and cool.

I was 12 years old, went down to Miami with the family. Their was a dinner where we would eat, and I would feed the jukebox dimes to play that number. Great memories.

It MUST’VE been such an unforgettable, nothing ever better pinnacle of a time when this song came out!? I’m not a historian by any means, but pretty familiar with a lot of different genres of music and love most of them. We don’t really get that experience today because there r just endless amounts of music today, of everything imaginable…but n 1956, not so. This would’ve been something brand new, a vibe that caused an excitement and a feeling that a song had never invoked before. Putting all of that aside, U KNOW it had to b exciting on a level never before felt just by watching the rhythm guitarist n this video play that guitar…that kid had never been more excited by something his entire life up to that point. He can barely contain himself cause you know that he knew they had the goods and the world was gonna go crazy hearing something so damned cool! Maybe I’m wrong but that’s the feeling I get anyway. Getting to experience music back n those days had to b awesome, causing excitement the way it did. The world wasn’t saturated with so much artistic expression the way it is today, IMO. Man I love this song!’😂

1:46 "Let's rock AGINN now!!!" Forget about it. Badass and way beyond his years. Cliff Gallup is the finest 50s lead guitarist as well.

Keep coming back to this clip; it’s got everything. Jayne Mansfield’s OTT look straight from the pages of Harvey Kurtzman’s MAD magazine; no one does guitar-face better than ecstatic player standing on our right; the whole LOOK of the band – hopped-up juvenile delinquents playing the Devil’s music – low-down blues call and response style. Tension and RELEASE! Can imagine teen John and Paul getting they minds BLOWN listening to this, then years later quitting a Beatles recording session to watch “The Girl Can’t Help It” on TV.
