I like how they’re using Anne’s language and her age because you see so many people who are a lot older like 16 playing her and I think it hits home more when you see how young they really were

First of all, kudos for actually using Dutch people in this. It's refreshing to hear Anne's words known from the diary being spoken in her actual language (YES I KNOW SHE WAS BORN IN GERMANY. I KNOW). Second, the actress portraying Anne is incredible!! She's doing a really good job! (oh and the cat...when Moortje nuzzled the lens, I broke down.)

I'm a Brazilian teacher and the first thing we worked with our 1st grade High School students in this quarantine was the reading of Anne Frank's Diary.

They actually recorded the beginning in Anne Frank’s family home on the Merwedeplein that has been restored back to the style when she lived there. I have visited there twice, recognized it immediately. ❤️
