Great list, lots of games on here that I want to play, so even more reason to play them after hearing your reasons for including them. Especially Distilled, because it is on my shelf of shame. For me, I'm not big on making lists, but Rock Hard 1977 and Slay the Spire come to mind when I think of which games surprised me and were very fun to play. You included White Castle, which is beautiful, I've been loving how much game Devir packs into their boxes and the designs are very elegant. - Debbie

Such a great list! Many of these are also favorites of mine and a few are ones that I have but haven't been able to get to the table yet. The one I was most excited to see it's placement on your ranking of those I haven't played was La Granja. I backed the Kickstarter but with a crazy year, it just hasn't seen the table yet. Haven't heard a whole lot about it since receiving it but your ranking makes me feel like I did make a wise purchase. Happy new year!

Merry Christmas, Dave. Galactic Cruise and Luthier don’t come out til next year for the rest of us! But glad you got to play them this year and love them so much. I played Luthier of TTS, and it sold me (with the organ dice tower) on the Kickstarter. Looking forward to both those kickstarters coming in next year! :). SETI and Andromeda’s Edge were also really good this year! 😊

If I may ask… which of these games feels the most … “pleasing” “pleasant” “relaxed” “atmospheric” … mostly in terms of theme… how it looks… or how it makes you “feel” while being played? (Mostly between Castles and Granja and B Forest.)

I played Fromage and while I find the board unique I’m not sure it has legs as apparently there are some parts of the board that are easier to win with. I really enjoyed Creature Caravan, you should check it out. Happy New Year! Dominika
