Grandma's Gumbo Orff Compositions- 1st Grade

Our 1st grade students composed an introduction to our book Grandma's Gumbo using 12-8 rhythmic word chains and secret ingredients for our gumbo. We also composed a glockenspiel melody for the repeated verses in the book that we added in as well. We had a lot of fun learning to notate these poems together.
