Hey Norris Nuts! I have three wonderful guinea pigs and just wanted to give some info and advice when Naz gets a guinea pig ( if you already know this then thats great! Just wanted to say just incase :D )
1. You should get two guinea pigs and make sure they are the same gender
2. You need to get it a very big enclosure! Example, play pens/pens or you can let them be free roamed! ( but make sure they are potty trained! )
3. They need loads of hay but for adults, you should get timothy hay and for babies, you should get alfalfa hay. ( this is very important!! )
4. You dont HAVE to give them pellets, BUT if you do, then make sure that the pellets dosen’t have any fruits, treats, etc.. only get the hay based ones :))
5. For the veggies, you should give them dark greens, e.g lettuce ( make sure that you DONT give them ICEBERG lettuce! ). Aside from dark leafy greens, you could give them bell pepper, cucumber, eggplant, carrots, celery, and fennel but make sure you give them only a bit of these types of veggies.
6.Make sure that you clean their cage often/ once in a week or every three days because it could be harmful for them and it would be really stinky!
7. Make sure you be very gentle and careful with them. As they are prey animals, so I advised not to touch them much until they get comfortable with you :).
8. How to make them comfortable with you? Well you could try and hand feed them treats or fruits like apples, bananas, or watermelon.
9. Give them a lot of attention ( when they are comfortable ofc )
10. Make sure to give them free roaming time at least once a day.
11. Dont make loud noises they might get startled.
12. If you want to give them treats, i suggest you get pea flakes! They really enjoy it!
13. You should keep them indoors cuz if you let them outdoors, it could be very dangerous cuz of heat/ coldness, predators, smoke, loud noises, and many many more!!

I am so happy that Naz is finally able to get guinea pigs, HOWEVER please do a lot of research in how they are needed to be taken care of.
This could include reading articles online or watching Youtube videos on cage/living environemnt, food & water, handling, exercise, toys and so much more! :)

EVERYONE GET THIS TO THE TOP: Naz, Brooke or Justin if you are reading the comments rn I have some very important information on looking after guinea pigs, I'm soo happy u are getting two as they get lonely but! They need a bigggg space not one a pet shop might recommend you, clip their nails one a week, please don't use the harness you don't bring small animals on walks and it could hurt their spine, Don't leave them outside all year, in the summer you can let them out but if is super hot then it will be boiling for them, make sure they can go outside to eat grass and run around in a big cage but put some shade on the roof, if it the winter you can but not on freezing days and I Really recommend watching a proper YouTube video about how to look after them so u don't treat them wrong!

I'M SO EXCITED 😆 NAZ IS GOING TO BE THE HAPPIEST GIRL IN THE WORLD. Also quick tip be sure to do lots of research there are also some YouTubers that mainly talk about guinea pigs and how to properly take care of them. I have had many animals in the past and currently have 22. And I can tell you owning a pet can be one of the best things ever. And they will teach you so much. I can't wait to see Naz's face when she gets her New Guinea pigs. Congratulations and love y'all so much. ❤️

awe! I love the Norris nuts! but, if you guys are getting a guinea pig, here are some things you should know to keep it alive. Guinea pigs need to be in herds or a group of two. Guinea pigs need a large environment, so you can watch some yt vids on how to build one or you can buy one. Also, never buy a cage from a pet shop for your guinea pigs. Also, they need lots of hidings in their cage. Don't interact with them straight after you get them, they need to get comfortable in their new home. I hope this helps! Bye!
