As a lifelong Costello fan I bought this album when it came out. I listened to it relentlessly. Sang every song over and over in my kitchen ☺️ Such beautiful heartfelt songs and you can hear both artist's styles in every one.

Kind of a weird infomercial... Don't get me wrong, I love this collaboration! Saw Elvis with Bert when their tour came through Chicago. They brought out the best in each other. Just like the record, with full accompaniment. Each did a solo set of thir own stuff, too. Got both of their autographs outside the stage door. One of the best shows I can remember. I'll probably buy this even though I retired my turntable years ago.

Congratulations. This looks amazing. I love Painted from Memory. Having grown up listening to The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and Bob Dylan, I had always considered Burt Bacharach to be schmaltzy. You forced me to change my mind on that just as your Almost Blue album helped me improve my view of country music.

I think there's an audience for a melancholic musical. And that would be all the people who don't usually go to see musicals because they think musicals are too happy.
