My grandpa was polish and I thought it would be really cool to learn it and connect to my polish heritage.

Both my parents were children of Polish immigrants to the USA. We spoke English only growing up. I did not have much interest in my heritage until about age 58 or 59. At that age I started to develop an interest in knowing more about my heritage. I wanted to read the Bible and pray to the Lord in the language of my ancestors. It has bern very satisfying. Thank you for these lessons!! Paul P. Czajkowski

I work for the national health service in the United Kingdom. I regularly see Polish speaking patients, and so I am making efforts to try and say basic Polish phrases in attempts to make them feel more at home. I also find the challenge of learning a new language fun! I also have some Polish colleagues who can further help me facilitate my learning 😊😊

I recently started dating a guy who is Polish. Both his parents speak no English at all and it's his native language. I want to learn so I can surprise him and able to talk to his parents.

I'm a healthcare worker in Scotland, we have loads of Polish patients as a lot of people from Poland move over here. I'm learning some Polish so I can communicate better with patients who don't speak much English :)

I have a soft spot for Poland, and Warsaw in particular. First time I went there was 2 years ago and have been going there multiple times a year now. Met some of the most amazing people there, and can't wait to come back. I've been doing some Duolingo but I feel that with duolingo I just memorize it, but this channel really helps me learn the grammar behind it all so thank you for that!

I’m Polish on my dad’s (Mr. Tatuś!) side. I want so much to connect more with my Polish heritage and as a language lover, I feel it’s not fully possible without learning the language. So much about a culture’s identity is wrapped up in its language. Cześć to all of you out there on this journey! 😊

I'm an Englishman living in France. I drive trucks and meet many Polish drivers. It would be good to speak a little Polish. Respect

I initially wanted to learn polish because I really love polish music and the way the language sounds :) but I've also really fallen in love with the food and culture and I go to polish supermarkets frequently.

My grandpa was born in France from polish parents, his first language was polish but after he went to French school so he had to speaks French instead. But he still use polish sometimes, we always speaks in French . I never been to Poland, I have heard a lot of wonderful things about Poland from friends and family who travelled there. I hope someday to visit. I think I will take step little by little as it’s a very difficult language for me even on Duolingo I have trouble to understand. I used to study Chinese, Korean and speak those languages as well. Polish will be a challenge ^^
Thank you for this first introduction to polish ^^

My family is Polish. As a kid I asked my grandparents if they would teach me Polish as they both spoke it, and taught me a few words but not much. Also my father can speak it but never does. I want to learn it to honor my family. Also it's a beautiful sounding language and I'd love to learn it even without the family connection.

I realize that I seem to have a gift for languages. I was researching the history of every Latin letter in childhood. I find the variety of symbols used to write sounds endlessly fascinating. I also find the variety of sounds used to indicate meaning endlessly fascinating. I seem to easily keep track of different pronunciation schemes for the Latin alphabet depending on language. I have a friend in Poland. I like the genuineness of Eastern European people as well. jenkUye!

I live in Scotland and we have loads of Poles who have moved here for work. A lot of the people at the supermarket are Polish, my car mechanic is Polish and my main business supplier is also Polish. I've no need to go to Poland as Poland has come to me. Makes sense to pick up some of the main second language I hear everyday in my town.

I visited Poland last month and liked it a lot. I'm thinking of studying there and would like to come prepared before locking in.
