Not a bad idea at all but I would suggest moving the entire assembly to the inside of the bracket you bolted it to so as to move the structure closer to the tractor versus further out like you did it. I moved my hydraulic fittings approx 2in closer to the tractor by simply using a spacer and man what a difference that makes! I may cut and reweld the stock bracket and make it even closer still.

Here I thought it was going to be a solid plate... That don't look like it'll do a whole lot to me... You most definitely get brush in there yet.. looks pretty flimsy
