Instructive lecture, thank you. I will definitely endeavor never to play Kasparov in his prime.

Anyone know how much it costs to sponsor a lecture?

I take it "Taco Mac" serves fusion cuisine?

Saving this to watch later... GMGinger (Simon Williams) and some other guy wrote a book on this variation, branding it "The Iron English" -- I've tried it against Fritz/Stockfish with rather poor results. That d4 whole is pretty juicy for Black.

Julio Granda was ranked 25th in the world in 1992, so I'm surprised I never came across any of his games in the 90s. Peak rating of 2699, too, which wasn't until 2016. TBH, though, not sure why his game's in this lecture. The immediate 6.d4 makes it a Benoni, Shirley?

Different openings are great to teach. GM Magnus Carlson plays hard openings, because he's aware of the intellect of his opponent. These games are great at the IM level and below, because they are 90% rarer than e4, or d4

The barking Jokes are funny. The barking is not. This was the First time I actually had to stop listening. You should really consider to change the setup. ❤

To those complaining about "mouth noises" or whatever. Either watch the lecture or don't. Ben's old, he has medical problems like old people do. He has more chess knowledge in his little finger than your body and he's giving it to us for free.

He seems a bit tired and out of energy, I hope he is doing fine. Could also be that he feels burned out of content creation

Ben is clearly not prepared for this lecture
