THE ONE THING THAT MAKES A SUCCESSFUL RELATIONSHIIP – THAT NO ONE TALKS ABOUT ❤️

In this video I will tell you the one thing that makes a successful relationship that no one talks about. Why is it that people in our Grandparents era often went on to have relationships that last 50 or more years? I will tell you in this video what they had some 50 years ago that many people today don't have, and sadly they don't realise how vitally important this missing ingredient is to a long term successful relationship.

About me: I live in Australia with my beautiful Filipina wife. We first met in March 2013 and married in July 2014. I have been through predating a Filipina right through to dating and marrying so I know what it takes to cross those cultural barriers and to have a successful long distance relationship and to keep it going strong after marriage.
Further to this I am a qualified Professional Counsellor (DipCouns) in Australia since 2005 and have specialised in Relationship Counselling where I have over ten years experience.

Love is the best thing which is for me (and my Filipina too) is like a flower - if you didn't care for, it surely will getting dry and shortly after this will die. Same is with live; if you didn't pay enough attention, love just will dead and gone, for sure. Thanks, Peter, for this educational video, mate!!

Just like anything else, love is exciting in the beginning then as it winds down, the truth about the other person slowly shows up. The sad part is, some people realise that they feel in love with the dream they built up in their heads about what a relationship is like and love, and when reality hits, they want out. There is no perfect relationship but there is a right person that might not be perfect but will be their no matter what and they come from different ages, different walks of life...Great topic.

Good topic Pete. We live in an instant or "throw away" society now. Back in the day players would stay at the same footy club for 10 years or more, people would stick at the same job and married couples would mostly stay together through tough times. Have to admire people back then and I personally prefer it back then. Values have changed heaps due to the media, TV and internet. Although I think most filipinas are more committed to those old school values like sticking together through the tough times.

Out of any of your videos, this one is a "must-see." You've ticked a good number of important boxes that are requirements to have a chance at a successful long-term relationship. In the best of circumstances, relationships / partnerships / marriages are big responsibilities, and take work to be successful. You nailed some great talking points, and no part of what you said should be taken lightly. Bravo.

All great things...then add in a dose of loyalty...which is a cousin of all being crushed especially with social media so prevalent. Kind of a next mentality in many. Thanks for your honest videos.

These things are very true especially in our LDR.
Commitment, honesty, and respect and communication and trust too.
It’s been over a year now since we have been together physically and we video chat at least 3 times a day, we are both always positive and we both know that once the Philippines reopens we are both going to be back together again to make more beautiful memories together again.
Thank you for your videos and please be safe always.

Yes!..it reminds of the saying about making bacon and eggs"The pig was committed the chicken was just involved"...as you said the mindset.

Hello Peter, this has to be one of your best video my friend. One of the main reasons why I chose the Philippines to retire in is I truly believe that Filipina women do believe in . A committed long term relationship. Their values are 50 years behind the times, ) which I consider a very good thing).

Limerence .... (wonderful & terrifying)
I always found it cute when I discovered older couples; 70, 80, 90's.... still claiming they were "in Love" ...So, it CAN be done. It's possible. Western culture is so devoid of (true) romance now, so cynical. *"Throwaway"*
("swiping"/NEXT) (Western Women & Men grow mutually more conflicted) hence, S.E.Asia becomes a target/cultural area for more traditional relationships. (sans socially manufactured obsticles)

From the beginning, i told my fiance before I asked her to marry me was, communication between is is very, very very important period, if we cannot communicate daily with each and always give each other praises, then, what's the point or being in a relationship, and, respect her and her family and her kids, even though the kids drive me omg, i always tell them how much I love them, also myself and her family chat all the time every day to be precise, i just can't wait for cebu to open up, when mr.dututarte gives the word....definitely in there
