First one is turned off and I don't even have second option. Gameplay is so fucking slow and delayed, it's just unacceptable

This actually worked for me as well. Cheers. Not completely perfect, but better. Huge customization of controls and game setting always produces slower game. Every year I spend hours experimenting which ones to turn off/on to get the best play. Eventually one of the patches fucks the game permanently. EA has coding issues on CM. They know. We know. It’s a shame. Try resetting your entire settings system then do what the OP suggested.

My issue is in negotiations in career when I’m choosing say squad role I point at crucial and it take like 2-4 press of X a lot of the time. This doesn’t help.
