Converting a Specialized Epic 8 into an Epic Evo Trail Shredder DREAM BUILD

I converted my Specialized Epic 8 into an Epic Evo trail shredder. I loved the Epic 8 but wanted to bridge the gap between my stumpy, so I broke it down (check out my build video on the Epic 8) and built it into a lightweight ripper. This bike absolutely eats up the trail while climbing like an XC bike. I highly recommend it if you haven't had a chance to ride an Epic Evo. I filmed this myself while trying to build the bike, which had its own challenges, but overall, it was a fun process!

That is a gorgeous build and awesome attention to details. I am curious how much it weighs in. I am running a '23 Epic EVO and had it down to 22.97 lbs with a '25 Fox 34 and just FA'ed it and now it is 23.6 lb now.

Did you switch your flipchip from high to low or just keep it in the high position? Any noticeable difference if you have?

Im thinking of getting the Epic 8, but not sure if i should get the evo version. Does this video mean you decided to make your bike more aggressive for the downhills because where you ride the evo 8 is a bit out of its depth? Im thinking i would be quicker overall on the epic but have a bit more fun on the epic Evo? Would you agree since you have tried both? Thanks
